As volunteers at a local shelter, we saw many dying pets get surrendered, as the owner could not afford to put their animal to sleep.  Most often, these animals would spend their last hours in a kennel rather than with their owner. We saw the heartbreak and sadness of these surrenders and we wanted to end this suffering.

We receive referrals through our website, social media, email or local shelters like ACCT and the PSPCA. Once we gather some information from the owner, we utilize low cost services provided by local veterinarians. We do this in order to verify that the medical condition is incurable and the pets' quality of life is affected. Eligibility is determined on a case by case basis. We hope to provide peace and comfort to both owner and pet when their time comes to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
